What I Do

I collaborate with my clients to explore individual identity, community connectedness, and personal growth. I offer testing for adults and adolescents to identify areas of growth and offer tools for success.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am only offering phone and telehealth (video) consultations at this time.

Initial Consultation

Perhaps the most important part of clinical psychology is the therapeutic relationship. Whether you are pursuing therapy or a formal assessment, working with a professional with whom you feel comfortable or have a “good fit” makes all the difference. Research shows that this is often as important as, if not more important than, the approach to therapy.

I offer free, 30-minute consultations to discuss services, answer questions, and help determine if this is the right fit for you. These conversations are generally informal and may lead to beginning services with me or referrals to another community provider or other resources and supports.

Therapeutic Services

Individual therapy is a one-on-one, collaborative experience with a therapist. We begin by discussing your current concerns and interests in pursuing therapy. From there, we work together to determine how best to meet your needs and set goals as appropriate.

I offer individual therapy for adults and specialize in the following themes:

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Trauma and abuse

  • ADHD and Executive Functioning

  • Time management and procrastination

  • Self-Exploration and life transitions

  • Depression, grief, and loss

  • Substance Use

I am experienced with and interested in working with the following populations:

  • LGBTQIA+

  • Polyamory, ENM, and non-traditional families

  • Veterans and active-duty service members

  • Healthcare workers and first responders

  • College Students

  • BIPOC informed and welcoming

  • Sex-positive, kink informed and welcoming

Psychological Assessments

Psychological assessment, sometimes referred to as “testing” or “evaluations,” is a formal process that seeks to answer questions about diagnoses, functioning, and life experiences. An assessment may be recommended or even required to gain access to some services, such as academic accommodations, medications, or admission to treatment programs.

The testing process begins with a consultation to discuss your specific needs. Following the consultation, we will conduct a clinical interview (typically one hour) and schedule follow up testing appointments. The number and length of these appointments vary. Once testing is completed, we will schedule a feedback session to discuss the results. A written report will be provided as appropriate.

I offer the following comprehensive psychological assessments for adults and children ages 10 and up:

  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) evaluations

  • Learning Disorder (LD) Evaluations

Note: some, but not all, testing services can be provided via telehealth. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am taking precautions to limit in-person contact for testing. Parts of the assessment may need to be conducted in person.
